Youth Savings Club Membership Tiers

Early Savers, ages 0 to 12

Start them on the right foot with basic financial education with The First State Bank’s Early Savers Youth Saving Club. Our team will make a $5 annual birthday deposit for our Early Savers. An adult joint owner is required for these accounts.

 

Exceptional Savers, ages 13 to 19

Our exceptional savers receive intermediate financial education to help them plan for their future. Teens in the exceptional savers tier also qualify to open a personal checking account. Plus, they receive graduation gifts for grades 8 and 12 from The First State Bank with proof of a certificate.

 

Expert Savers, ages 20 to 24

When our exceptional savers reach the age of 20, they are eligible for our expert savers membership tier. The account owners receive advanced financial education, special lending offers and post-secondary graduation gifts from The First State Bank with proof of a certificate.

*All account opening guidelines apply. Joint owner required on accounts with owners under 13 years old. No monthly service fees or minimum account balance required. Must be under the age of 18 at account opening. Minimum opening balance of $10.00 required. When account owner turns 25, the terms and structure will automatically convert over to a Personal Savings Account. Club benefits are limited to one account per customer. Membership eligibility and product restrictions apply and are subject to change.

There is no minimum requirement to open an account. HSAs are interest-bearing accounts with all fees waived, excluding overdraft fees. To qualify, customers must provide proof of an HDHP plan.

*For all Certificates of Deposit and IRAs, interest is compounded using the daily balance method by applying a periodic rate to the full amount of principal in the account each day. Closing the account before interest is credited will forfeit the accrued interest. A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal.
